So… okay, I read the news. Things like the TSA and “Homeland Security” worry me. And we have people who cry for more. They want more “protection” and less freedom…  WTF? They’re sheep. Here’s a quote that is SO true, I don’t know why it isn’t in stone (well, I do, it’s from a TV show, but it’s awesome).

There’s a reason you separate military and the police.
One fights the enemies of the state, the other serves and protects the people.
When the military becomes both, then the enemies of the state tend to become the people.

So, what can I say, it’s DEAD on, but since it’s from Battlestar Galactica, everyone will ignore it. 🙁 Still, I think it’s dead on. Don’t agree? So what!

There’s so much I wish to write about, I just don’t have time and my chair is KILLING my back.

On “Christians”

I hate people who are hypocrites (and that’s MOST “Christians” I know… notice the quote marks Skippy, stop cursing me and read on). Organized religions are, to me, a scam. They allow someone to be “forgiven” for their sins, even though, for the most part, they keep on committing these sins?!? Can I hear a “WTF??”

Sorry, but I don’t really like people who cheat on their spouses (no, I haven’t done that ever… sorry to blow your shitty image of me). Anyway, today something got me to thinking on “Christians…” now, I DO know some people who I truly believe ARE Christians, who follow the tenants of their faith, but most just mouth the words and keep on, keepin’ on.

And, we’re not even talking of the jailhouse conversions or the people who say “Ah’ms is  CHRISTIAN, ah can’t be wrong, the LORD will protect me and forgive and absolve me of ma sins!” then proceed to drink, beat their wife/kids, cheat on their wife/husband, LIE, steal, cheat, etc. That’s all BULLSHIT. It’s partly the reason why I won’t discuss religion w/ people and always tell them “No thanks!” when they invite me to their church. No, I don’t think I will like it. Which part of those Commandments are optional?

And hows-about this: So now that I’m “saved” it’s okay then to screw people over or to go have sex w/ a bunch of bimbos (or worse, married bimbos)??? WTF?!? And I see it, I do see “Christians do this all the time. Sorry Kinder, but if I DID believe in some organized-type religion, I would try and follow the rules and not just mouth the words and act like I was holier-than-thou.

Oh, BTW, I DO believe in Karma–seen plenty of people these days getting their just desserts for being a shit bag. I also FIRMLY believe the saying “Freedom of Religion means ANY religion”… many “Christians” don’t quite get that and are pretty intolerant of other religions. And no, I don’t hate all Christians, just the fake, bullshitter kind and they really aren’t Christians anyway, are they?? And yes, I KNOW there are scumbags in other religions, but I don’t have people coming up and asking/pestering me to come to their Mosque or Temple very often.

Wow, wrote WAY more on religion than I intended. Back hurts, gonna go lay down and watch some video w/ the dogs. Maybe Horatio Hornblower… I have some Galactica to watch, just haven’t had the right moment to forgive Ron Moore and get in that frame of mind. Tomorrow night will be my Friday night… Anyway, I’m a stayin’ up here tonite. Y’all know what a cruel and nasty BASTARD I am. A horrible person.

Finally, I did some real work on the WWII section… it’s not all linked together, but the main WW2 pages are there, plus all the Allied pages and Axis Main. I’m too tired to keep after it. Will work on that tomorrow. It’s just labor-intensive :-0 However, saying all that, it’s not so hard, mainly a lot of search-and-replace in the code I am transferring over — you just have to get that right or it’s ALL messed up.

What else?
I dunno… we had chili tonite. Watched the series finale of M*A*S*H as it was on and I really needed a break. Kind of wierd looking at it… you see sooo many 70-isms and stuff. Plus, being a reenactor-geek, I see ALL the farbisms (besides long hippy hair on 1950’s American military) and Wee hates me going on about stuff like that :-0 Kinda like Cross of Iron with the long 70’s hair… a great movie that needs CGI haircuts real bad.

Battlestar Galactica
Galactica last night was interesting. They seem to just be going off on some wierd tangent. I wonder if it will all end with Zac Adama getting out of a shower and it all being a bad dream of Starbucks?? Ron Moore couldn’t get away with that nowadays as this kind of thing is considered old and hackneyed. Who’s the final Cylon? I’m betting on Gaeta… kinda seems that way, but I bet it’s too obvious. Cottle maybe or a real kicker would be Bill Adama. Or the President… We shall see — in TWO weeks, of course… isn’t that bunch of crap how they do that when a series is winding down… hey, Sci-Fi, you idiots… I’m not gonna watch your other crap in the mean time. I hate corporate hacks.

Town
Was going to go to town to pay my rent and get my meds, but couldn’t get a hold of my landlord. Will go to his work tomorrow. Then on to Wally World with the $4. prescriptions (probably made in China, but who can afford US made?). Shopping at Wal-Mart is like bills, you just sweep the thought under a mental rug and don’t look at it. You’d like to shop somewhere else, give the money to Americans, but it’s kinda hard when everywhere else is sooooo expensive. You know what I mean.
