Roman officer, ostenibly CaesarSo, here we are, 2017. It didn’t really start out very promising. Work, little money, tired, borken tooth and insurance BS (something I won’t go into here). I can say that work on the Roman site, moved along by my friend John’s help IS going better, but on the work front, not enough hours, working all night. Caffeine addiction… ugh (have a headache today) and just tiredness and such. Since no one actually reads my blog, I don’t really have much to worry about.

Work stuff

At work, it appears they are installing cameras facing the drivers. I am not real hip on that, to say the least. They say, of course, that it won’t be always on, but in the companies I have known about, they DO use it like that and harass drivers about things such as eating and drinking (I’m a diabetic, so I WILL be doing those things) and talking on the phone–guess who we stay awake at night now… no one talks on a CB anymore. We’ll see where that goes. I am not sure I’m going to continue with that.

Romans in Britain

THe new responsive template is really working, as is the social media code. I need some social media buttons so folks can share the site–that’s coming… At 477 pages, it is a lot to keep up. Without my old program, GoLive CS2 (which actually works w/ the new template, whereas Dreamweaver does NOT), I can do what I need, but… it is all hard. One thing at a time. And, adding code to each page and tweaking and such is really a lot of work. And, while i do this, reenactor.Net languishes. My baby WILL be moving soon to this template, but first, I hav eto figure out hwo to make the link mod work… that and the gallery w/ out using the SMF/TinyPortal system that powers it all now SMF/TP is not responsive, meaning ti won’t work w/ mobile and as such, google penalizes you, HEAVILY. Sucks, but what else can you do w/ this blackmail but adapt. Sad.

My Galaxy 7 Edge is acting stupid, so here in a bit,  am going to go over to Verizon and see what can be done. I guess a new one as it’s still under warranty, but I DETEST changing phones. Gotta have it though. Still, not looking at Facebook would probably be a good thing. The politics and the constant crap from the sour-grapes, sore losers is getting to be a bit much. We gave Odumma a chance, until he screwed the pooch (willingly, I think) and they should too. There is a reason Trump won and tha tis because people are tired of the way the country is going and we want real change, not bullshit, liberal commie change. Anyway, I need ot go. Be nice if I could write on this more.

I don’t care what colour anyone is. I am tired of that shit. I want a conservative. I want someone like Allen West or maybe Herman Cain. It AIN’T about colour — it’s about ethics and ideas and a way to fix our country. Not shitheads like our current president, his nutty-ass vice president nor the idiots (for the most part) in congress who just don’t get it. It’s all really JUST LIKE Animal Farm.

As to people being offended, no, stop it. The race card is WAY overplayed. As it is now, people don’t care anymore. Show me what you have to offer. Show me HOW you will fix my effing country that has been PISSED AWAY by a number of really BAD decisions, and really taking off about 2006.

So… okay, I read the news. Things like the TSA and “Homeland Security” worry me. And we have people who cry for more. They want more “protection” and less freedom…  WTF? They’re sheep. Here’s a quote that is SO true, I don’t know why it isn’t in stone (well, I do, it’s from a TV show, but it’s awesome).

Really. Since they knocked out the one guy I thought stood  a chance of saving this country (Hermann Cain), I am not real thrilled with what we have left. I am not going to vote for Romney. Not only do I think he is a flip-flopper, I just think he’s full of crap. I would rather vote for Barry!? My friend Joe, a born-again Republican, let out a shriek when I said that. Is true.

 

I have hope Newt might do something, or Santorum. Ron Paul will only be President if 2 things happen:

  1. Mit Romney gets caught in bed with a15 year old and a goat.
  2. Barrack Obama is videoed (with Al Sharpton testifying it so) saying something along the lines of “I DO hate white people and I AM out to take down America for Islam! And I WAS born in Kenya.”

Those two things are the ONLY way we will have Ron Paul as President and ya know what, that’s a good thing. He’s nuts.

Am I the only one, other than my late friend Nick, that thinks Nancy Grace is a hideous, shrill harpy? Just a hateful person who convicts people in the court of public opinion WITHOUT a trial? Am I alone?

So, Herman Cain has suspended his campaign. That sucks. He was our last, best hope to save our country. How come the left didn’t care about Clinton’s scandals, the “cookies” he boffed, the affairs, Hell Monica Lewinsky was BLOWING him in the Oval Office. That’s all okay, but Herman Cain… Let’s tear him down.

The news media have gotten out of control. Look at the media in the UK… We’re headed that way — we ARE! We have so many corrupt and deceitful dirt bags that we can’t recover.

Thanks to all the knuckleheads that made that happen. From President Mugabe (Obama) to our corrupt and inefficient Congress ( a bigger repository of thieves, liars and incompetents the world has never known), our nation has been allowed to go down the shitter. For years, by the actions of these self-aggrandizing liars, we have been circling the drain, but now, I feel we are goin’ in.

Our nation has always been one  is epitomized by the Navy SeaBees motto of “can do” but now, we have a whole new credo of “do it for me.” What will we do? Where will we go? I don’t know. I have no children to worry about and i think by the time it really craps out, my wife, my animals and myself will be gone. Sad for my country. Really sad for the world, but you knew the scumbags and power seekers would not let America continue. If you listen to all the chunderheads, you would think that it’s all just bad luck — NO, it was a deliberate choice. Too many idiots who think only of “me.” My friend Joe’s ex-wife is like that, an idiot who believes in Barrack Obama’s vision of socialism — mainly because it will bring this country down to the level of Mexico, where she was born.

I know many others who feel that we should all be equal in that the productive people will give their all and the losers, lazy, non-working, “less-productive” people wil not have to pay. That’s horse shit. This whole thing is a lot of BS and vain posturing. Our “leaders” are not that, they are opportunists and power grabbers. We need laws that say if a politician is convicted of corruption (or downright treason), ten something heinous will happen, say public stoning or impaling, etc. Certainly flogging and other bad things. What say you?

I am too irked and have too much to do today, so will now stop. Think on it gentle readers. Think on WHY we are being sold down the river like this. What can we do? Certainly vote ALL incumbents out. ALL of them. In every election.

Okay, so I took vacation the last couple of weeks. Mainly to do my wife’s Spring cleaning and clean out the garage. Our garage has been FULL since we moved in. Actually, it used to be WAY worse. Over the last two years, I have went through and cleaned out boxes on a smaller scale, but this time, we pulled out most of the garage and went through all the “wardrobe” boxes that the movers just threw shit into. A LOT of that was ruined by the basement in the house we used to rented Ft. Loudon. We had it down there, because… well, it was a tiny house. This place is much bigger, but prob still not as big as what we had in Cali, and that was a trailer. A big trailer mind you, but anyway… I digreß (BTW, this character: “ß” called an “essett” means the “ss” sound. It’s a German thing, I like it, I always have–I’m gonna just use it here; Deal w/ it!).

So anyway, we melted down about 18 wardrobe boxes (by that I mean we cleaned them out, kept some things, dx-ed a LOT of stuff (the tightwad in my screams at all my money wasted there <grits teeth> )). Lots of stuff out, found the shelves for my book shelfs… nice huh. Needed those for the last 5+ years. I found my chain mail, some other stuff. Some lost Roman things and my 4-Zelt tent of original WWII Zelts. So, all is good there, but I am beat! I am way too old for this kinda crap. My neighbor, who is 25 helped. Wow! W/out him, I’d have died. Anyway, my right elbow and arm ACHE. Neck has a crick in it and I am beat.

We DID find out about the cardboard recycling place around the corner. Cool. Open 24/7 and free. Takes office paper too, so that when I write things (reenacting stuff) and whole forests quail, I can get rid of the proof copies. Kewl. Anyway, I thought I’d write about this. It’s been a long proceß and I think we’ve turned the corner on it. I just am whining because I feel old and beat. Oh, and I wasted my vacation on it and won’t get to go anywhere cool. Oh well, screw it, not like I’ve had a real vacation since 1998. I didn’t win the Powerball either. That’s a bunch of crap–we all know I should be the one to win, not the usual type of winner who is usually from West Virginia or an illegal alien (they should have to forfeit it if that’s the case) or some 90 year old person. Let ME win. I will put it to good use… and NO, you will not EVER hear ME say something stupid like: “Ahm’s is gonna keep on drivin’ a truck!” Uh, no. I would be done w/ that for good. In fact, I believe I would fly to Amsterdam to celebrate by legally smoking the demon Marijuana… something I’ve not been able to really do for WAY too many years. Oh well. Some day. I sure wish Cali would have legalized it, that would have sure helped balance their budget AND maybe made it happen around the country. We won’t discuß it here right now, I am tired and not in the mood. Just rambling.

Damn people are rude these days. Ever notice that? Look on yahoo’s discussion forums after EVERY news article and crap, there are some nasty SCUMBAGS there. And on both sides. The liberal f*cktards ranting about George Bush and the right wing zealots going on (and ON and ON) about Obama. Screw them all–I am tired of this. Can’t WE, as a NATION just frigging stop this shit? No wonder we’re going down the godsdamned toilet. I’ll stop here too. It’s just kinda fun to be blogging on the computer, vs. the damned phone which is slow and hard to type on.

He wouldn’t go against the wishes of 9-11 survivors in supporting a Mosque near Ground Zero–and yes, I know it’s not AT Ground Zero–New York City is a weird place, still….

Anyway, I kind of find the photo here to be amusing. Sure, Barry’s back home with the Fam and dressing like that. Joy. All for it. However Barry, why not come clean about yourself? About your motives and beliefs? About your dislike of the British and America’s freedoms and way of life.

Let’s see how many of my FB friends will take offense and call me a racist or a bigot, when in fact, what I am is against someone who is seemingly against America. And no, I don’t mean the ACTOR who PLAYED Jed Bartlet, Martin Sheen, he’s a neo-Bolshevik leftist. Isn’t it sad that the best I can think of isn’t real 🙁

We have really no one I can get behind for President. NONE of the left! On the right, who? I don’t know. Gingrich would be intriguing. Huckabee? Maybe… I just don’t know. Not Glen Beck.
